Nimes Airport Shops

Nîmes-Alès-Camargue-Cevennes airport is a fairly small regional airport.  It is neat and pleasant to use but it does not have much in the way of retail opportunity.  Essentially there are two shops, one “landside” and one “airside”.  The latter is in the departure lounge and therefore is only open to passengers holding valid boarding cards.

In the main airport concourse, opposite the check-in desks, is a small boutique which manages to pack quite a lot into a limited space.  Here you can buy British and French newspapers and also other reading matter in English (magazines etc) or French.  Then there is a selection of sweets, chocolate, biscuits, tobacco products and toys to keep the children occupied on the flight.

Although Nîmes is not actually in Provence, they also stock a range of typical provençal souvenirs.  This will include perfumed soaps, sachets of lavender, coasters and the familiar china items in yellow with green olive patterns. Several items, in fact, suitable for last-minute present shopping.

This shop is open whenever flights are due to arrive or depart and is certainly worth a visit.

The other shop is located in the departure lounge and mainly specialises in local wines and other drinks.  As you have now passed through airport security, any drinks bought at this shop can be taken on board the aircraft.
