Nimes Airport Departures

Like many small regional airports, at Nīmes the arrivals and departures are at opposite ends of the main airport concourse, so it makes no difference which doors you use to enter the terminal building. As you go in, arrivals are on your left and departures on the right. Usually two check-in desks are in use but even so, the queues can be quite long.

On-line check-in can be very useful but, of course, only if you have no hold luggage. The toilets are at the extreme right hand end of the concourse, past the boutique.

After checking in you will probably have some time to spare so why not visit the Nīmes Airport Shop or the Nīmes Airport Café, Bars and Restaurants before going through security to the departure lounge. The way through to the lounge is the narrow gap between check-in desks 5 and 6. Look for the security officials checking boarding cards.

Once in the lounge you get a good view of the runway and apron area and can often watch the arrival of your aircraft. Toilets are well signed and there is a small snack bar and a drinks machine.

There is plenty of seating available but inevitably crowds form around the departure gate, especially when the incoming passengers are seen leaving the aircraft. Even if you have purchased priority boarding it can be difficult to get through the crowds as the orderly queueing seen at UK airports just doesn't happen here.
