Marseille Airport Shops

The problem with shopping at airports these days is that anything in liquid or gel form you cannot take through security in your hand luggage.  For this reason many gift and duty free shops are now located airside.  If you are just arriving, however, you need to know what is available in the public areas.

If you are just arriving then be sure to read our guides on Marseille airport taxis, Marseille airport buses and Marseille airport car hire.

At Marseille Airport, the low-cost terminal MP2 has no shops in the public areas.  If you want to buy something for your friends or family for example, you have to go through into terminal 1.

In the departure lounge of MP2 there is a fairly limited selection of shops.  Relay sells newspapers, magazines, cigarettes, books, gifts and maps.  There is a duty free shop selling alcohol, perfumes etc and La Provence which stocks a variety of regional specialities.

On the ground floor of Terminal 1 you will find a pharmacy, a boulangerie, a Relay (a large chain of tobacconist/newsagents which also sells gift items and books) and a delightful store “Decouvrir La Provençe”.  This sells a range of gastronomic delicacies and other items of a typically provençal nature.

Upstairs in Terminal 1 there is a multi-store which sells all the usual things found at airports – newspapers, magazines, gifts, toys, books, duty free, cameras etc. This shop is in the departure lounge so only available to outgoing passengers but anything bought here can be taken on board the aircraft.

Once you've finished your shopping you might want to go and see what's available in the way of Marseille airport bars and restaurants.
