Parking at Marseille Airport

Marseille is a very busy airport with a lot of flights to Paris as well as international flights.  There is a large demand for car parking and the airport authorities currently provide over 12,000 parking places spread over 8 car parks.  The nearest to MP2 is P2, a mid-term car park with 40 minutes free.

If you're going to go for Marseille airport car hire then you won't need to worry about the car park prices.

As you approach the airport there are large sign boards directing you to the various car parks.  Even though these are designated short, medium and long term it is helpful to know before you arrive, which car park you are heading for, rather than trying to read all the information whilst on the move.

At all the car parks, take a ticket and pay at the parking machine when you leave. You then have 15 minutes in which to exit your car park.

P1 and P6 are covered parking, very close to Terminal 1.  Not surprisingly they are also the most expensive with a minimum charge of 6 euros.

P2,  P5 and P10 are very close to Terminal 1.  P2 has 40 minutes free which makes it very useful for dropping – off.  All three cost 2.50 for the first hour rising to 11.50 for the day.

P3 and P7 are designated “Low-rate”  They have no free period but the first hour costs only 2.50 and two hours is 3.20.   A whole day is only 8 euros.  These are both a little further from the terminals but still within easy walking distance especially if your luggage has wheels.

P8 is a short-stay car park close to the terminals.  The first 40 minutes are free but after that charges mount quickly to 25 euros for 24 hours.

Marseille Airport Cheque Parking

Cheque Parking is a large car park a little further away (but still only a 5 or 6 minute walk) which has to be booked in advance.  Depending on the season it will cost 16-25 euros for up to 16 days and is therefore aimed at those who leave their cars whilst they go on holiday. If you want to use this car park visit www.chequeparking.com

There is also P8 but this is coach parking only.
