I have just returned from a quick trip to France and thought I'd share with you how Ryanair's new "No more check in desks" system actually works.
In brief, very well it seems. I checked in online about a week before I flew for both my outbound and return journeys and printed off my boarding cards at work.
When I arrived at
Nimes airport there was a queue of people waiting to go through security into the departure lounge so I hopped on the end of the queue and that was that.
They were pretty tight on checking the hand luggage for size but I didn't see anybody's bag being weighed.
Basically the system is the same as it always was except for the removal of one of the queues. As far as I can see it's a good move that works well.
