Biarritz Airport Departures

Biarritz Airport departures are generally pretty straight forward due to the airport being situated very close to the three towns of Biarritz, Anglet and Bayonne. Transport from any of these locations into the airport is quick and simple, whether by bus, taxi or hired car. You are extremely unlikely to get held up by traffic from any of these departure points.

The Biarritz Airport departures terminal building is one large concourse so it makes no difference which door you use. The check-in desks are clearly marked and the staff are well used to handling surfboards and there is even an "Outsize Baggage" facility to cope with them. If you are carrying golf clubs this is where you need to go as well. If you are a wheelchair user or need special assistance remember to mention this when you check in.

If you have an electronic ticket you can check-in at one of the special terminals in the airport. This is only possible if you are not travelling with infants and do not have any special requests.

Most of the facilities offered in the Biarritz Airport departures zone are in the public areas. Once you pass through the security checks there is the "Taste and Fly" outlet selling sandwiches, wraps and drinks. Remember to buy your drinks here if you want to take them on board. Any sooner and security will take them off you. The departure lounge is fairly small so you may prefer to stay in the public areas visiting Biarritz Airport Shops and Biarritz Airport Bars and Restaurants until nearer your flight time. There is, however, more seating in the departure lounge than in the main concourse.

For up-to-date details of departing flights look at the Live Biarritz Airport departures information above but remember, even if your flight is delayed, you still need to go to the airport and check in on time (unless your airline advises you not to)
